Doors Open Toronto 2015

This weekend is Doors Open Toronto, which gives locals and tourists alike a chance to visit buildings in the city (some of which you usually would not be able to enter at all) for free. Because I am an idiot my camera ran out of batteries, all photos are from my iPhone.

Elgin Theatre on Queen Street. The theatre is the only used double decker theatre in the world, since right on top of the Elgin Theatre is the Winter Garden Theatre. IMG_1889The Winter Garden Theatre is just breathtaking and iPhone photography doesn’t do it justice. It feels very A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It’s still open today and I would highly recommend going, if you can.

Lastly, we visited the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, also on St. George St.

Has anyone else checked out Doors Open this year?
